Call for Papers and Presentations
The 18th East Asia Actuarial Conference (EAAC) is to be held on 12-15 October 2014 at the Taipei International Convention Center, Taiwan. The Actuarial Institute of Chinese Taipei (AICT) is pleased to invite all actuaries and other interested parties from around the world to submit papers to share your research and insights.
This three-day conference provides an excellent platform for the participants to exchange ideas, share experiences from different markets, and raise issues for discussions with fellow participants. We expect to welcome more than 500 professionals in the event from various locations within the Asia region such as Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. In addition, the conference would be open to other associations, including the SOA, the CAS, and the International Actuarial Association (IAA).
Submit your paper now! With the main theme “Risk﹐Challenges and Opportunities”, the 18th EAAC aims to foster an environment for speakers to share their views on the theme from various actuarial areas including Life Insurance, General Insurance, Health Insurance, Risk Management, Pension and Social Security, especially in Asian markets. We have preliminarily scheduled 3 plenary sessions and 36 parallel sessions for the conference, with each session having 40 minutes presentation time including Q&A. A draft conference schedule can be found in Appendix I. AICT is now inviting timely, relevant and high quality presentations for the conference. Do not miss this opportunity to share your insights with other actuarial professionals. The potential topics are provided as reference in Appendix II.
All submissions should be in English, including the presenter’s personal biography, outline of the presentation, presentation slides, papers, as well as tables, exhibits and appendices.
